Imaginasom
Motion Design / Animation
The main goal of this project is to complement the imagination of visually impaired people using music and sounds. The 9-year-old girl Manu (Manuela Alves Dourado), born without sight, was chosen to have the dream of visualizing something through music. What did she choose? She wanted to imagine a night where she could face and admire the moon, the stars and the breezy wind.
This was the mission given to singer and songwriter Carlinhos Brown who embraced the cause of the Institute and opened the doors of his studio "Ilha dos Sapos" to synthesize all the energy of this nocturnal moment into one song. This is how the song “Anoitercer” came to exist, created by the artist exclusively for the project.
Everything Manu described after listening to the song was transcribed into animation under the responsability of DrSmith! Studio. I participated in this wonderful project animating the arts created by the Art Director Gibran Bisio, while trying to transcribe into images what she had said once her thoughts were taken away by the music.
On the top you can see some frames of the animation and and below the final result.
This animation is part of a campaign developed for the project "ImaginaSom" by ICB (Bahia Institute of Blind people), created by Morya Comunicação and produced by Malagueta Filmes and DrSmith!
