Motion Design / Animation Director
This is an ad for a leading brand of automobile lubricants, a Petrobras product, with technology tested in Formula 1. The idea behind this ad is to ask the public to vote for the best overtaking in each race of Brazil's StockCar circuit and the winner would be reconstructed into an animation simulating a 16-bit racing video game aesthetics. The ad was such a success that this is the second year (2018/2019) of this campaign with more than 20 overtaking reconstructed.
All the art was made by art director Gibran Bisio in Illustrator and then imported to After Effects to apply the pixelated aesthetics. That workflow made changing cars and other arts really easy in each video. Some scripts were also created to speed the process. Every animation had to be done and approved in less than one week
